Microsoft on Sunday released security patches for an actively exploited security flaw in SharePoint and also disclosed details of another vulnerability that it said has been addressed with "more robust protections."

The tech giant acknowledged it's aware of active attacks targeting on prem SharePoint Server customers by exploiting vulnerabilities partially addressed by the July Security Update.

CVE-2025-53770 (CVSS score: 9.8), as the exploited Vulnerability is tracked, concerns a case of remote code execution that arises due to the deserialization of untrusted data in on-premise versions of Microsoft SharePoint Server.

Patch Tuesday this month resolves a whopping 130 vulnerabilities, along with 10 other non-Microsoft CVEs that affect Visual Studio, AMD, and its Chromium-based Edge browser. Of these 10 are rated Critical and the remaining are all rated Important in severity.

Google on Monday released out-of-band fixes to address three security issues in its Chrome browser, including one that it said has come under active exploitation in the wild.

The high-severity flaw is being tracked as CVE-2025-5419 (CVSS score: 8.8), and has been flagged as an out-of-bounds read and write vulnerability in the V8 JavaScript and WebAssembly engine.

Users are recommended to upgrade to Chrome version 137.0.7151.68/.69 for Windows and macOS, and version 137.0.7151.68 for Linux to safeguard against potential threats.
