Twenty years ago today, David Gilmour played the first of three shows at London's Royal Albert Hall, with a very special guest appearance for Comfortably Numb from David Bowie, in what sadly turned out to be Bowie's final ever appearance on a UK stage.
On Sunday at 5pm BST / 12noon ET / 6pm CET, the entire show, released as Remember That Night, will premiere on David's YouTube (where you can watch the full performance of Comfortably Numb now).
GETTING IT RIGHT FOR YOUNG AMERICANS 51st
“Taking it all the right way...”
Though generally celebrated on 7th March (even by us), it transpires we may have not got that UK release date quite right.
As we mentioned last year, based on chart positions and press adverts, evidence points to the fact that in the UK at least, Young Americans was actually released on 21st March 1975.
Anyway, @NachosVideos has tweaked his video for Right, which is the real reason for this post.

Chivas es una realidad que Javier Aguirre convertirá en fantasía.
Hoy, el Guadalajara juega como gran candidato al título. Cuando llegue la liguilla, perderá, al menos, a 5 futbolistas.
Así, imposible…
BOWIE ON DINAH! FIFTY YEARS AGO TODAY
“'Cos you can never really tell when somebody wants something you want too...”
Fifty years ago today (3rd March 1976), CBS in America broadcast Bowie's appearance on Dinah Shore’s chat show: Dinah!
Recorded the previous month while Bowie was in LA, he performed Stay and Five Years with the then current tour band...
David Bowie • Vocals
Carlos Alomar • Guitar
Dennis Davis • Drums
Tony Kaye • Keyboards
George Murray • Bass
Stacey Heydon • Guitar
Bowie sat and chatted with the other guests who included: Nancy Walker, Henry Winkler, Natalie Cole and Candy Clark.
Also present was Dwain Vaughns who demonstrated a few karate moves on Bowie. Neither of the men were hurt during the making of the show.
You can find the full broadcast on YouTube, including both songs, though sadly not in the kind of quality that the Nacho's Videos Five Years teaser we’ve used here boasts.

While producing a David Bowie record, Nile Rodgers worried his arrangement was too funk-driven, asking Bowie if he had taken it too far. Bowie responded, "Nile, is there such a thing as too funky?". Here's a playlist celebrating Bowie's funky stuff: https://t.co/CaEkI09VBT
HEROES REALITY TOUR LIVE HD UPGRADE
“We could steal time, just for two days...”
A Reality Tour commenced on 7th October 2003 at the Forum Copenhagen in Denmark. The following month, the shows on 22nd and 23rd of November 2003 at The Point in Dublin, were recorded for A Reality Tour for both audio and DVD.
"Heroes" was but one of the songs on the impressive setlist played over the two days in Dublin.
In a 2010 interview with Mark Adams about the release, Bowie explained how he went about selecting the songs...

MA: Fifty plus songs were rehearsed for A Reality Tour, with thirty-five of those being played over the two nights in Dublin. Though you could have easily picked two or three completely different sets of fifty songs from your back catalogue, which no doubt would have equally pleased your audience, how did you go about choosing the songs you eventually settled upon?
DB: Every few days or so I’d look back through my old songs and pick on something that particularly caught my fancy or something that I hadn’t played in a few years.

WATCH HEATHEN (THE RAYS) ON JOOLS
“I can see it now...”
Back on 20th September 2002, David Bowie recorded a five-song set and an interview for the BBC’s Later... with Jools Holland.
The following month (18th October 2002), three of the songs and the brief interview were broadcast.
As you’ve guessed by the headline, we’ve posted the show closer, Heathen (The Rays), on the official Bowie YouTube channel: https://t.co/ZaALYT3jJ0
It’s a beautifully melancholic delivery of a sublime song from Bowie and his superb band.
Keep watching during the closing credits for a rare appearance of the fabled Jackalope, the mascot for what was known as the 2002 Looking For Jackalopes tour.

WOOD JACKSON NOW AVAILABLE TO STREAM
“And he'd play the tunes they call creative...”
You may have already spotted that Wood Jackson is released as a digital single today.
Originally issued as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of Heathen, the track was made available to European fans via the Slow Burn single, and in the UK on one of the formats of the Everyone Says 'Hi' CD single.
The song was never available on streaming until now, which means it may be a previously undiscovered gem for some of you.
This melancholic beauty certainly deserves more exposure, and some of those who already know the track have commented that it was a strong enough song that should have been included on Heathen in the first place.
If you are hearing it for the first time, give it a few listens and let us know what you think in comments.
You can find it on streaming here: https://t.co/VltRjkfWXp you can also view the visualizer on YouTube where the lyrics are included for your singalong pleasure.

Murió hoy Ozzy Osbourne. Quiero recordarlo en la película "Trick or treat" como un pastor evangélico en contra de la música enfermiza y obscena. Como se habrá divertido Ozzy "el predicador" en esta escena. Que gran recuerdo. Grande Ozzy.
