This is niche but If you didn’t take 8am ballet class with an old Eastern European woman who knew dang well you weren’t gonna be a ballerina but pushed you like you were Baryshnikov. Then are you really a performer? 😂

This is getting really tiresome, people. Each episode of Stranger Things is almost a full movie and there was a global pandemic and an extended WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike.

if you loved everything about Wicked except the direction, then you don’t know what a director does

as someone who played Rolf in regional theatre, that was a Nazi salute

It’s actually in the Emmy Awards bylaws that whoever wins Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy is required to be Mrs. Claus in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. We were robbed Jenna Maroney as Mrs. Claus.

I regret to inform you all that this will in fact be sung by James Corden. Y’all thought you won with that online petition to keep him out of the Wicked movies but no good deed goes unpunished!

My theory is that Keala Settle is gonna belt the shit out of March of the Witch Hunters… watch (hold) this space

many musical sequences captured on film in recent decades feel flat to camera. if you want to watch a pro shot of a stage musical, there are many. movies should immerse the audience and do what can’t be done on stage. to do else is a disservice to both artistic mediums.

the movie musical “feels too much like a movie”

[jolene of arc @okaypompeii]

@_p3nnyy this is such a good point!! I feel like older musicals felt theatrical while the editing in new musicals makes it feel too much like a movie I guess

didn’t get into the ep but look what’s in the nbc store

25-30 is such a weird age group. You have to excel in your career, find a life partner, stay healthy and save money.

dim them ALL omg don’t make me do this again because I will

[WhatsOnStage @WhatsOnStage]

Select Broadway theatres to dim lights in memory of Gavin Creel https://t.co/cREYI1gdaW

[Annoying Actor Friend @Actor_Friend]

The qualifications of dimming all of Broadway’s lights is always so nebulous but if it really comes down to length of a career, Gavin Creel’s was tragically cut short. He wasn’t allowed the time. Read the room and DIM THEM ALL

[tom quicksell @tomrquicksell]

@Actor_Friend Exactly what I was thinking. What is with all the picking and choosing and qualifications. 20+ year Broadway career. Tony winner. Beloved by all. It’s a no brainer. Dim every damn theater marquee and Times Square as well. It’s for one minute. I can’t with these theater wing
