@Acura admitted the failure matched the defect in the recall — but offered only 25% coverage, leaving us with a $20,000+ bill.

They called it “goodwill.”
We call it bad faith.
This is a known safety defect. We got lucky. Others may not.

@NHTSArecalls Dealer confirmed the failure: spun rod bearing, metal shavings in the engine. Acura admits it’s same defect as recalled VINs — but won’t fully cover it.
