The “decreased rates” due to change in alimony laws is a misconception. Divorce rates were already decreasing in the areas where these were implemented.

Good luck with that. Managers are parties and stakeholders in employee disputes, so a lawsuit could easily bankrupt a small to medium size company.
@libinterpreter@The_FJC Getting rid of HR is like getting rid of insurance. You can do fine for a while until an emergency hits.
The companies you’re talking about are likely outsourcing HR functions to dedicated companies. No one would be stupid enough to expose themselves to that kind of liability.
