This morning marks the launch of our Education for Peace policy: https://t.co/d9BSNn8L27
Education for Peace aims to develop an understanding of the causes of conflict at all levels and to encourage non-violent conflict resolution.
The EIS has a number of policies that lay the foundations for work in the area of Education for Peace and which show the Union’s commitment to the promotion of respect for and empathy with others.
Great to see EIS's new Education for Peace policy recognises racial equality as an "...essential element in seeking to achieve a culture of peace, within schools and in the wider world".
Peace cannot exist where pupils are facing racism 🕊️

A really good resource for supporting parents and carers whose child has experienced racism in a school in schools. I am sure we all look forward to a time when such resources are not necessary.
