@tonyrenghini If (when) he signs elsewhere for starter money, SF will get a nice compensatory pick. Why would SF trade him for something that isn’t better than that?
@ATL_Enthusiast They’ll only trade him if the offer is too good to refuse. If he leaves in free agency and signs starter money they’ll get a nice compensatory pick in return.
@kvonbdonmlon Only one of us here is actually conversing like an adult. It took me ~30 seconds to show the extent of your unintelligence. If you want to have a fun discussion about soccer, great. If you’re going to act like a low-life who gets off on trolling strangers, then: bye, Felicia.
@usher933@kvonbdonmlon@amcalabrese12 Yes, I actually do think the US can win a WC in my lifetime (30s). Is it that likely? No, but I honestly don’t think Germany’s probability of winning is much higher. But I would definitely bet USA hosts another WC during Banks’s career. He’s giving up a lot to try to make the GNT
@kvonbdonmlon@amcalabrese12 In the last three world cups, what exactly has Germany accomplished in the World Cup to make you think they’re “first rate”? In the last two they’ve placed worse than USA!
@LinusEkenstam@preppytrader More people died in France this summer alone of heat-related illness than have died of mass shootings in the entirety of the history of the United States.
@FreddyLA7 This is the slate I’d recommend:
Week 1: LSU in Baton Rouge, LA
Week 2: Michigan/Okalahoma in Ann Arbor, MI
Week 3: Auburn/Florida or LSU/Ole Miss
Week 4: USC/Oregon in CA
Week 5: Tennessee/Auburn in TN
@xstealthuser@AlexiLalas Or, we can just be genuine and true to who we are and not try to be someone we are not, and continue calling it by the term invented by the English: soccer. We should emulate international tactics, playing style, and development, but our culture should be our own.
@qboredwatch@ManagerTactical The Super Bowl has been hosted at non-climate controlled stadiums many times throughout its history. Including *checks notes* this year, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
@FreddyLA7 Thank you for coming back, Freddy. Don’t let the few loud haters take away all the good you have spread. You are reminding everyone that a country is as good as its people, and that genuine human kindness outweighs negativity and hate. Enjoy the rest of your journey in our home!
@piersmorgan 1. As if calling it “soccer” (a term your countrymen invented, by the way!) will make a difference.
2. Who in USS or the USMNT cheated? Blame FIFA if you want to, VAR has been a disaster this WC
3. Touché.
@collect_tx@JMechling_36 Luckier draw certainly helps. I’d have much rather we played Senegal, or Argentina’s path of Cape Verde/Egypt/Switzerland than Belgium. I think most teams we see each 4 years would agree.
