My 1st role in football made $0.
My 2nd role in football made $0.

But my 5th role in football made $300.

It was doing freelance analysis for a football agency.

Was it a life changing amount. No.
Did it allow me to quit my day job at the time. No

But it helped me learn key technical skills. And build relationships in football.

If I gave up after 4 opportunities in football, I probably wouldn't be where I am today.

Progress is painfully slow. And then it isn’t.

Keep going.

PS: If you're doing unpaid work for experience make sure you're getting valuable feedback on work, development plans and access to tools / decision makers.

It's the minimum you should expect.
