Yes and no. No in the sense that hacking one small peaking plant isn't a threat to energy security but yes in the sense that a hacker might not stop at one, and hacking many of them at once could be an energy security risk

@neso_energy only holds enough reserve to protect against the loss of the single largest infeed. If two large power stations or interconnectors were hacked at the same time NESO wouldn't have enough reserve to maintain the grid if both went off at once

Yet again the Government repeats platitudes about the grid being robust. It's getting to be a regular occurrence.... We hear news about risks to the grid and ministers and officials rush to dismiss them
