@BridgetPhetasy When I was about to graduate with an English and a Speech Com degree my advisor pulled me aside and told me I had two choices: get into a good law school or practice asking people if they want fries with that. Best advice I’ve ever gotten!
Excited to move @FERC forward with decisive action on the ANOPR Large Load Interconnection Docket this June! Grateful for my colleagues and DOE @SecretaryWright for their dedication to get this right.
Hey @sonia_friedman! Hope you’re doing well! If you have a minute could you message me your new email address? I sent you a note but I’m afraid I have an old address. Thanks!
@JigarShahDC I fought for years for it to be included as a grid asset under regulatory structures. It was such a silly demarcation in restructured states to take a tool away from the wires companies. Glad to see that damn broke but there is still so much work to be done in that space.
@JigarShahDC Curious, how far off commercially or maybe economically do you think we are from true LDES? Storage at scale has been a tremendous asset. A Swiss Army knife for the grid. But LDES to me is the actual game changer for renewables and better operations of thermal assets.
@EnergyLawJeff I bet your text chain with @ts_fiher is just heart emojis and googly eyes! Ha!
But you’re both correct. It’s ridiculous to prevent private business from islanding from the grid and investing in their own gen. Financially it’s probably not optimal, but no subsidy/no harm.
@TKavulla@basepowerco Congrats Travis! Great to hear you won’t just be a company shill (think it’s my favorite part of my job) and we can still all listen to you pontificate on all things energy policy for the foreseeable future! Look forward to working with you.
I do not normally respond to online rumors but feel the need to do so at this moment
I will not be a candidate for the currently vacant HC and GM positions with the Miami Dolphins.
While you never know what the future may bring right now my focus must remain on global events and also the precious archives of the United States of America.
Thank you
@Gabby_Hoffman Agreed. The disconnect re the cost of these various resources has to be re-aligned. I’m not anti-wind but I am anti-pretending offshore wind is the most economic solution available. Just looking for a little fact based sanity but finding mostly Don Quixotesque quests in energy X.
