“…I knew this team had a lot of potential. We’ve got a lot of great players, but you can’t just go off potential, you’ve gotta really work for it and play together, for each other and your brothers. If we do that this team can go far.” - @AdamBerquist15

Shoutout to the dozen PV Sharks—quarterbacks, receivers, and defensive backs—showing a true commitment to doing the extra work. Not just chasing individual improvement, but pushing one another every rep and raising the standard across the board. Iron sharpens iron.
What stands out isn’t just the effort—it’s the unity. Teammates competing without ego, supporting without hesitation, and building chemistry instead of guarding positions. That’s how you grow as players, and that’s how you become a TEAM—Together Everyone Achieves More.
Shoutout to six PV Sharks I ran into at Davis Park Field shortly after school let out today, putting in extra work on their position skills. Three of the six were also among the five players who earned DAWG of the Month for January. DAWGs set the standard and that standard challenges their teammates to rise to the same level of commitment. Once again, it’s the extra work during the unseen hours that separates the average from the great.
Five weeks into the PV Sharks preseason strength training program, more than 100 players have committed to training alongside their teammates four days a week. This past week, the coaching staff recognized the DAWGs of the Month—athletes who have consistently demonstrated and fully embraced the DAWG Pillars of Success. This standard is designed not only to develop better football players, but also stronger teammates, responsible classmates, and leaders within the community.
The following players were recognized: Adam Berquist, Sean Hassan, Trey Butts, Trent Player, and Alexander Winkles. These athletes set the standard through their discipline, commitment, and grit. Their daily actions—often in the unseen hours—reflect what it truly means to be a DAWG. Keep pushing, stay consistent, and continue to raise the bar for yourselves and your teammates.
DAWGs help establish and set the team’s standards.
