Delighted our paper 'State Snapshot Process Discovery on Career Paths of Qing Dynasty Civil Servants' was honoured with the 'Out of the Box' Award at @icpm_conf . This work was by a multi-disciplinary team including myself, Moe Wynn, Sander Leemans, and Cameron Campbell.
I really liked the central insight in this paper, reusing biodiversity measures to estimate things like number of trace variants in an underlying process. The presentation itself was also great, and stepped through it in a very clear way.
I am very very happy that our work work on Estimating the completeness of Event Logs using biodiversity measures received the Best paper award @icpm_conf . I am very honoured, grateful and overwhelmed by the amazing reception and discussions about the topic this week.
