It's not coincidence. Would it happen anyway over time? Yes, but we sped it up.

@girlatlawstuff Early 2000s. My friends and I hung out at various parks. Played pickup basketball, threw a football, Frisbee golf, drove to the beach or a state park, drove to and hung out at each other's houses. We were bored every day and made the most of it.
