Adam Clery

A bored afternoon's entertainment has now turned into a £20 bet. Can I, on Football Manager, get from unemployed to Champions League winner in only 10 seasons.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

@BobbyBamber Hello! Currently in season 5 with Norwich and pushing hard for automatic promotion.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Besides, QPR bought Joleon Lescott this summer, I bought Diego Forlan.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

I'm taking your advice and telling QPR to shove it. In truth I just hate Norwich's kit but I've just spotted Stephen Fry on the board so meh

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

@Scheidtcast QPR are bottom, on 9 points. I am 2nd, on 25.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Right, I've asked QPR for a week to think about it, and I've asked Norwich to offer me a new deal in the meantime...

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Someone decide for me. Previous to this my biggest transfer budget was about 200K http://twitpic.com/5vssat

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Urgh, but I've spent 18 months getting my entire backroom staff organised. I wish there was away you could have them all brought with you.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Just noticed that, despite having one of the best squads in the league, QPR are bottom after 14 games. Not sure I can turn that down.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

@JamboTheJourno I'm not going to win the CL with Norwich though. Might stay and hope a bigger Prem side offers me a job next year

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Seriously, am I better, in the long-run, to spend two seasons in the Championships with "bigger" clubs, or just rush up with Norwich?

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

I'd much rather jump ship to one of those two but there's no chance of getting either of them up and I have £20 to think about here.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Oh god, 2nd in the Championship with Norwich and both Newcastle and QPR (both in the Champ) are rumoured to be wanting to appoint me...

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

League cup 2nd round. Away to Premier League opposition. Two subs combine for a last minute winner. http://bit.ly/pKnK7N

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Oh, and I got Gary Deegan. Anyone remember him?

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Bizarrely, just missed out on Thomas Hitzelsperger and Roman Pavlyuchenko. Both still early 30 and only asking for £8,000 a week.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

Andrea Dossena, Seb Kehl, Steven Hunt, Mehmet Topal and... Diego Forlan. All pre-season free transfers.

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

has led his Norwich team to npower League 1 title glory. #FM2011

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

There you have it. 4 seasons into the game. 4 consecutive promotions. Feel bad that Bromley have gone straight back down though...

[Adam Clery @AdamClery_FM]

will have delighted Norwich supporters after leading his team to promotion this season. #FM2011

Something I left out of the article was that I'm currently on an FA Cup run. 6th round and I've put Liverpool and two championship sides out
