Episode #4 Offensive Linemen Love it When

⚠️ Defensive Linemen do not use their hands 🙌!

Why?
O- Linemen LOVE when defensive DL don’t  use their hands to create separation and control because now the OL can do exactly what he wants:
✅ Stay connected.
✅ Get chest to chest.
✅ Absorb the rush.
✅ Control your body.
✅ Use his size and strength against you.
✅ Block without moving his feet much.

💊 Antidote:

1️⃣✋ Hands Placement:
Strike the breast plate. Thumbs up to prevent bend in your elbows.

2️⃣🔒 Lock Out or Extension:
Control the blocker, better vision, and easier to escape.

3️⃣📐  Leverage (Angle Advantage)
Stronger base, more power, and drive.

4️⃣🦶 Active Feet
Feet should always be active and moving forward. “DEAD FEET DON’T EAT ☠️🦶🍽️”

💡 A lesson to teach the advantage of attacking HALF A MAN 💡

One simple but powerful lesson your players can experience firsthand:

Take a player who struggles to understand the importance of “fighting half a man.” 🛡️⚔️

Have him perform a major lift:
🏋️ Power Clean
🏋️‍♂️ Squat
🏋️ Bench Press

Let him attack the weight using BOTH sides of his body and record the numbers 📈

Then challenge him to do that SAME weight using only HALF his body:
➡️ One arm on bench
➡️ One leg on squat
➡️ One arm on power clean

The numbers change immediately 👀

Why? 🤔

Because the body can no longer generate the same:
⚡ Power
⚖️ Balance
📐 Leverage
💥 Force Production
🎯 Control

THAT’S THE LESSON.

When a defensive lineman attacks HALF A MAN 🛡️➡️ the offensive lineman loses half of his power structure.

He can’t generate the same:
❌ Force
❌ Balance
❌ Control
❌ Power
That he has when he gets his full body on you.

Players don’t just HEAR the concept
they FEEL it. 🔥

Sometimes the best teaching tool
