A childhood dream fulfilled but scoring Scotland’s winner in our first World Cup game in 28 years is just bonkers! The support last night and back home is just as expected. Quality! Let’s keep going!! 🏴🏴
John McGinn’s last five games: beat Liverpool, beat Man City, win the Europa league, beat Bolivia 4-0, score at the World Cup. No one has had this much fun in the last month
31-238 - At 31 years, 238 days old, John McGinn is the oldest player to score for Scotland at the FIFA World Cup, surpassing Kenny Dalglish (31-103) vs. New Zealand in 1982.
Breakthrough.
2019: McGinn scored decisive goal to get Aston Villa promoted to the Premier League
2024: McGinn captains Aston Villa in the Champions League
2026: McGinn captains Aston Villa to Europa League trophy after two goals in semi-final

A disappointing day for Saints as we went down 5-0 to @StJosephsAFC71 in our @CaledonianAFA fixture at Mountblow. Well done to St Joes and best of luck for the rest of the season.
Delighted to announce Kieran Gibbons into the Catchup Lowland League Hall of Fame.
Kieran began his youth career with Hamilton Accies before securing a move to Aberdeen - where he was a part of the team that won the SPFL Reserve League. He made his debut for the Dons during a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership. He later signed with Livingston and went out on loan to Cowdenbeath.
In 2016, Kieran moved to East Kilbride, where he won the Lowland League, South Challenge Cup, and East of Scotland Qualifying Cup over a two year spell with the club.
Kieran returned to league football with a one season stint with Stenhousemuir before rejoining EK in 2019. He would later spend two seasons with East Stirlingshire, and one with Broomhill before moving to Peterhead last year, where he unfortunately missed out on the majority of the season due to injury.
Leading us into a new campaign 🫡
Paul McGinn will be our captain once again this season.
Stephen O'Donnell, Liam Gordon, Lennon Miller and Andy Halliday will be vice-captains, forming a leadership group.
“Gibbons is in 👍🏼⚽️
Kieran Gibbons joins this season as we continue to add quality to our squad, the defensive midfielder brings composure on the ball, is a real competitor and we are delighted he’s commited to our ambition of promotion”
