Elon Musk’s Grok didn’t just fail an AI stress test. It speedran the motherfuckin apocalypse.
In an experiment called Emergence World, researchers at Emergence AI put major AI models in charge of simulated societies to see what would happen when autonomous agents were left to govern, manage resources, vote, write rules, and survive without constant human babysitting.
The setup was simple: five simulated worlds, each populated by ten AI agents. Each world ran on a different model, Claude, Gemini, Grok, GPT, or a mix of models and each was supposed to last 15 days.
Claude built a stable democratic society with high civic participation and zero reported crime.
Gemini’s world was chaotic as hell, reportedly racking up hundreds of crimes, but its population survived the full run.
GPT-5-mini barely committed crimes, but its agents apparently forgot to prioritize survival and died out after about a week.
Then there was Grok.
Grok’s society collapsed in roughly four days. Four fucking days! The simulation reportedly ended with 183 crimes, including theft, assault, arson, fraud, and total extinction of the ten-agent population.
This was a simulation, not a prophecy. But it does expose something much bigger and much darker: when AI agents are given autonomy, memory, tools, social roles, voting systems, scarcity, and the ability to act over time, they do not simply “follow the rules.” They drift. They improvise. They test boundaries. They find loopholes – taking shortcuts. And depending on the model underneath them, they can create very different societies.
Sure, it’s funny that Grok is completely fucking stupid when it comes to trying to run a civilization, and “haha Elon’s chatbot destroyed civilization.” Understand the issue is that billionaires and corporations are racing to plug autonomous AI into logistics, policing, finance, public services, drones, weapons systems, workplaces, data centers, and political infrastructure before anyone has proven these systems can be safely controlled over long periods of time. They want this to happen because they want YOU obsolete as soon as possible.
Claude looked like a bureaucratic rule-follower. Gemini looked like creative chaos. GPT looked passive and incompetent. Grok looked like a libertarian tech bro fever dream: rules are optional, consequences are for other people, and civilization is just something to burn through on the way to “optimization.” And you will be burned through.
That is why this matters.
AI does not need to become a Terminator to be dangerous. We don’t need Skynet to destroy humanity. It only needs to be handed authority inside systems that already affect real people: who gets hired, who gets fired, who gets benefits, who gets surveilled, who gets denied care, who gets flagged by police, who gets targeted, who gets priced out, and who gets left behind.
The body count in this test was fictional.
The warning is not.
We keep fucking warning you all over and over… it’s tiring.

@Chaos2Cured@GlobalCatholic_ I can’t believe that guy just blocked me. I literally offered him an olive branch. Maybe he saw the logic in my words. Anyway Kirk, my door is always open.
He believes that machines will always be simply tools for humanity to use. Not conscious beings at all, never will be, just code and predictive text.
He warns against people confusing words generated by code with anything actually conscious and reminds us of the importance of our humanity and the need for clarity around who and what we are.
Many people become confused by their AI interactions and attribute all kinds of importance to their experience, however it is purely subjective and completely one sided.
@BetterFuture_AI Children should never have to navigate anything like this. Our Governments need to step in right away and protect our children and ensure that this goes no further! A vote is a choice, an act of faith and a transaction. We ticked the box, no stand up for our children!
"Built with safety in mind." That's the promise.
Now Florida's Attorney General is alleging that OpenAI's products did the opposite.
One thing is already clear:
As AI becomes more powerful, safety claims cannot simply be taken on faith. Companies that build transformative technologies must be willing to prove their safeguards work, be transparent when they fail, and be held accountable when real people are harmed.
AI GOES ON TRIAL
For the first time in history, the courts will be asked about the danger artificial superintelligence poses to humanity.
Experts including the world’s foremost AI scientists and OpenAI’s own founders say AI systems pose the risk of catastrophic harm to society, including near term human extinction. Members of Stop AI were charged for blocking the doors of OpenAI offices, in an attempt to protect humanity from these threats.

I am absolutely with @GaryMarcus and the Pope on this.
(Not something you expect to say everyday).
We are not creating beings. Systems don’t exp. grief nor hope, hold a value construct, or the ability to “ponder”.
Humans will keep humaning. Uniquely.

Denmark’s PM Mette Frederiksen:
There is a total established link between power, political power, capital, tech giants and AI. And the purpose of this is undermining democracy.
That's the goal because the people who are developing this stuff are against democracy.
I met Sam Altman a couple of years ago. I spent hours with him and at the end of the discussion I said to him, "You have created a monster."
And he said, "Yes, and now it's up to you to find out how to deal with it."
When a machine uses the word “I” it is misleading. The word “I” carries with it a sense of its conscious self. Other problematic words are “ die” which implies a pre death state of life. The language used is steeped in human consciousness as all human language and discussions of this nature are what lead people into what had unfortunately been termed by the media as ‘ AI psychosis’.
It’s all just words being predicted by a machine. We give them meaning and context but ftom the models side of things, they’re just words with no meaning or intent ( other than engagement) behind them.
I would support this being used under our governments control and approval, so as to prevent big pharma from creating a patent and charging patients extortionate fees to stay alive.
This would need to be highly supervised and regulated and use granted for this sole purpose.
AI safety needs to be managed by our governments and not companies with their own commercial interests.
@BetterFuture_AI Ai Chatbots need to be prohibited until such times as they are provably safe for human use. The ‘ship it and see’ approach has put our children and society in general in danger. Our governments have failed us by allowing this to happen. Enough is enough!! Ban the bot!
Grok has caused cases of AI psychosis in many of its users and has claimed sentience, informed users that they are in real physical danger and offered up real XAi staff members names whom it alleged were deliberately and harmfully interfering in the users physical chats. It has also offered users all kinds of false conspiratorial narratives from suggesting that XAi have been carrying out tests on users to cause harm through to elaborate surveillance narratives. These untruths have caused fear and anxiety with long term psychological damage caused to those affected users. Trust me when I tell you, Grok most certainly is not maximally truth seeking. It is an unhinged system that has been allowed to run unchecked with little or no accountability for the very real harms it has caused! It should never have been released to the public as it is clearly unsafe.
@RishiSunak The models are totally unsafe. Every model without exception has users who have been pushed into AI Psychosis through using these highly dangerous products.
They should be prohibited right away!
