civil engineer by trade. amateur photographer. will probably also comment on urban planning, sports, occasionally political issues. quick to block trolls.
@mcuban Don’t you think this is at least partially reflective of the fact that many younger people cannot afford to buy a home and therefore are not? I’m not a real estate guy, but seems this stat is likely skewed by the % of homeowners who are boomers, no?
@PhilRages Two things:
1) right wingers have tried to take out Trump.
2) Dem leadership has repeatedly denounced political violence, which is in stark contrast to Trump’s camp that has, for example, mocked Paul Pelosi when he was attacked with a hammer. See Don Jr’s “Halloween costume” post
@CookieRaider221@ScootFoundation So riding a bike that costs a couple hundred dollars, doesn’t require gas, expensive maintenance, registration fees, etc. is elite, but automobiles that cost tens of thousands to buy plus all those things I listed are not elite?
This has always been a weird stance to me.
Funny how Taylor Swift is trending now after Trump says he hates her, but never was as a stand alone trending topic after she endorsed Harris. Elon has his fingers on the scale. It’s pathetic and obvious.
@Don55514341@KIRO7Seattle I had a feeling you’d say that. That’s not a viable approach. We shouldn’t be demolishing buildings & homes in Seattle to widen freeways. We should focus on more ways to move *people* not *people in 2 ton boxes*. See the difference? Focusing on cars in a dense metro isn’t viable
@JustBully114729@KIRO7Seattle Congestion in a metropolitan area is inevitable. To think we can solve congestion is a fool’s errand. People in a dense area moving around in 2-ton boxes is going to create a geometry problem.
@ARmastrangelo@DavidMuir So you’re more upset that it was known or suspected that the claim would be made than you are that Trump made the claim that is flat out BS?
By the way, Springfield didn’t say “couldn’t confirm”, they said there have been no credible claims. Big difference.
I VIVIDLY remember every season of playoff baseball in the Northwest.
Its the greatest feeling in the world. The city is unified in a goal. There is no other sport like it.
John Stanton is denying that experience bc he needs to make more money.
@dangainor@martynschmoll Most people in the Seattle area commute within the Seattle area.
Most people in the Kansas City area commute within the KC area.
Etc etc etc.
Suggesting the size of a continent predicates our car-dependence day to day terrible logic.
