@mark_robinson_ Tbh we have to create our own luck, bar city which was a joke decision, Everton was our own making, not holding onto the ball, seeing it out and Fulham we were unlucky with goal conceded but also lucky with goal scored due to both deflections, need to improve for after the break!
@mark_robinson_ Everton had more shots, more on target and a higher XG, City deserved a draw but v 10 men should be winning and Fulham we had same amount of shots on target and xg (slightly more shots) so draw fair result.. take blinkers off, we have got exactly what we deserved bar city!
@R_o_M Tbh I beg to differ, I loved Carrick as a player but last season more often than not I thought at the end we got lucky in that game, never dominated many games except arsenal, city and Brighton off top of my head but won by occasional goal, but he got results now he's not
People comparing JJ Gabriel with Garnacho seem to forget, Garnacho had actually performed for the 1st team and shown his talent at senior level wheras JJ Gabriel hasn't, Old Trafford sung Garnachos name wheras JJ Gabriel is praised on Twitter due to highlights of his youth games!
Why is everyone losing their mind over a 15 yr old kid who hasn't even played a minute of senior football or contribute to the 1st team? How many times have we seen talent not live up to expectations! You CANT bow down to a 15yr old!! It sets a precedent you can't afford to set.
I really hope it works for Carrick as he was one of my fav players and seemed a good bloke but how he deals with the pressure now results aren't there will tell if he has what it takes to be a united manager! Still young and learning on the job I hope it works but have my doubts
Apart from city/arsenal the majority of football played by united under Carrick wasn't that great but he got results so you couldn't argue with it, this season the performances are similar but results are not there, it's only early days 3 games in but the scrutiny has started!
season starts in 5 days and we have added 2 players to a weak squad, in terms of good enough for squad + not injury prone excluding signings we have: lammans, yoro, heaven, Fernandes, Cunha, mbeumo, amad
Every other player is prone to knocks or not good enough
Not good enough!
To think that Anderson and Rice are both Β£100m + players is madness.. Give me mainoo all day, this emphasis on physical ability, hard working gung-ho players over technical ability in England is why England always fail!
Gerrard + lampard over scholes is another prime example
@IanDoyleSport Tbh the best situation for Liverpool as if they disallow it they go back to the original pull back on sesko preventing him from scoring leading to a red card for no attempt to play the ball and a pen which is likely to mean 2-0 down with 10 men
