@berkaythunicorn 25. A viral product lets people try the product before buying it
This was done on TrustMRR and it’s almost hypnotizing how clear and simple this is.
What he’s doing here is exactly what’s in the list.
It’s just that the cost do build the games submitted to vibejam is time + tokens.
The games are impressive for what they are. But it’s clear that in the near future (3-5) years the games will be enjoyable for mainstream audiences and Levels might be an EA-like publisher.
It’s so crazy to me how @levelsio walks into being a video game publisher as if it’s the most obvious next step in a career.
The culmination of doing cool stuff followed by more cool stuff.
Here’s what video game publishers actually do, to clarify:
The winners of the Vibe Jam 2026 sponsored by @cursor_ai + @boltdotnew + @heyglif + @tripoai are....

And thanks to all the judges for helping get through all the games @NicolaManzini@OverJumpRally@ericzakariasson@timsoret
And lots of thanks to @s13k_ for helping out so much with the logistics of the Vibe Jam again, like creating the website and the entire judging system and so much more! Amazing work!
And thanks to all our amazing sponsors who made it possible
The vibe coded games this year are much much better than last year, all the judges agree on that, and personally I feel they're getting close to production-ready games that could compete with real game studios:
@timsoret, a game dev himself, said: "The quality is much higher level than last year, wow. Some of them are getting close to be genuine games. I think next year (or maybe 6 months at the given rate), it will match many game devs. Not the top 20%, but a 3rd year student yes!"
THANK YOU AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR 👋❤️
P.S. you can play ALL the games on https://t.co/oE0VpwoiN2

Publisher Responsibilities
A publisher acts more like an investor + distributor + marketing company.
Typical responsibilities:
- Funding development
- Managing budgets and schedules
- Marketing and advertising
- PR and influencer outreach
- Platform relationships (Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo)
- Localization (translations)
- Manufacturing physical copies
- Customer support
- Distribution
Examples:
Electronic Arts
Ubisoft
Devolver Digital
Been doing this for a while with CC in a few select chats. Great for summarizing convos
TBH I don’t use it for dev work bc I tend to get on calls if we need to discuss a feature. I take the call recording and have CC create the summary, then use that as the spec.
Will still be cool to see the native development and where they take it.
In 12 Monkeys (1995) director was afraid that Brad Pitt wouldn't be able to pull off the nervous, rapid speech. He sent him to a speech coach but in the end he just took away Pitt's cigarettes, and Pitt played the part exactly as director wanted.
Working with people who have high standards is miserable if you don’t have them for yourself.
Everything feels like a chore.
If you do have a high bar, working for/with those people is still not easy, but it feels like you’re getting value from them every time you speak.
$GOOGL is investing ~$75M in A24 marking its first film studio stake through a multi-year AI research partnership with Google DeepMind.
A24 and DeepMind plan to build AI tools for film production and distribution.
AI has made some tasks so fast and relatively effortless, that whenever I’m doing something online that takes longer than expected, I feel like I’m doing it incorrectly, as if someone out there has figured out the “right” way to do it.
