The same feature that regulates heat in this house also protects hardware in large mining operations during extreme summer conditions.
Custom firmware means better hardware protection, higher uptime, and more bitcoin.
Get ready for summer heat with Braiins OS ☀️
@Wattoshiapp@AndreasKulvik Not yet. Balancing income in alpha testing for this small houses AFAIK. But not relevant with this small actual power. But they prefer solar and batteries to be in program. Yes HASS way to go ❤️@Wattoshiapp
My miner cost $1500, wait for the blog. There is more.
Kwh of heat = kWh of electricity, 100% efficiency.
In my case I'm in central Europe full of renewable expensive energy it's. $0.22kWh = super cheap. I have no solar offset. There is not even 15y ROI. maybe better if I will do it myself, but I have to better things to do. BTC does better %%% always. Also btc heating was fun. Everybody does solar even it does not make sense if over production is not burn in btc miner. Still early! @Peak_Ascent
@FartedGuy@KristianCsep Check some here https://t.co/i75jHCvcB7
@FartedGuy
I can get neighbors electrical bill but it's useless. Non of neighbors measure only heat bill. Different house size and sustainability. Some drives to work
Some stay home working and testing other miners 😀
@TresNudillos@KristianCsep Same for heat pumps. I've averaged $12500 only for outdoor unit and indoor unit. And pluming on side of pump. Boiler or accumulation tank is discussible. Some pump comes with small one in indoor unit some not. Bigger better also preserving COOP of pump.
I was not including price for floor tubes, manifold thermostats, work of plummer. Since it's used same for any other heating. Calculated costs are the only differences as for source of heat. Then should I include also different types of cement in floors? Floor tiles etc. That would be for some architect or house projector. We mine sats 😎 @TresNudillos
Correct I've started on spot prices with home assistant monitoring cheapest 6hours in a day (day ahead) and heating in these hours, combine with distributor "low hours" predicted low demand. But I've move it to fixed 3year contract (cheaper then cheapest 6hours) . Winter is hard on spot prices it's call OTE electricity market here in central Europe. Also loosing comfort on spot. @Wattoshiapp
@grok@TheGurkenSoup@KristianCsep@dansemperepico Getting better ❤️ I've used Braiins Pool hashprice and so it's 50sats/ths/day so very close, why did you didn't know that few weeks back when I wrote that upcoming blog post?
@grok@TheGurkenSoup@KristianCsep@dansemperepico Let's try but Ai always fail. Miner eff is 29w/ths. Calculate it for my yearly consumption with price of electricity $0.22/kWh. Take 2025 yearly average hashvalue and average btc price and write it here all!
@SteveW928@KristianCsep Correct! Old Gen hydro miners cost from $1k plus ship and tax, depends. Ive averaged heat pumps in my area. Only heat pumps air to water, of course. Ground heat pumps more efficient in colder climets and 3x more expensive. All depends on house heat loss. @SteveW928 blog coming
This is all wrong. Mandatory is the thermal loss for house. So so much individual based on the type of building and size. Very efficient house need only 3,5kw thermal loss in coolest temps - 10C in czechia. My yearly energy consumption for heating and hot water is 4,5MW, check original post. The heat pump is never economical in machine lifetime. For my electricity price.
