California architect designing hospitality-inspired homes + multifamily residential. Los Gatos Planning Commissioner. Beauty, character, and aesthetics matter.
Welcome back, mutuals—it’s your tile-and-natural-stone-obsessed architect.
I believe every project should make everyday life feel like a five-star stay: thoughtful, tactile, beautiful, and designed around how you actually live.

Honored to have Adam Mayer Architect featured in All Natural Stone’s Designer Spotlight!
The piece highlights my approach to residential design and a recent Los Gatos project.
Many thanks to the All Natural Stone team for the recognition!

@Twolfrecovery@garymccoysf That was an unfortunate post, but I’m willing to give Gary the benefit of the doubt. We may not agree on everything, but I don’t see him as an ideologue. The fact that @mattdorsey endorsed him suggests he sees Gary as someone willing to come to the table and work with others.
I know this may be an unpopular opinion with some folks on here, but I think @garymccoysf will be a great Supervisor for SF’s D8.
I’ve known Gary since 2015, when he was the legislative aide to my District Supervisor. Over the years, I always found him incredibly professional, thoughtful, and genuinely engaged with the community. He was someone who listened, took people seriously, and was always approachable.
Gary and I don’t agree on every issue, but I’ve known him long enough to respect where he’s coming from and to know that he cares deeply about San Francisco. I think he would bring that same thoughtfulness and professionalism to the Board of Supervisors.
Earlier this year @garymccoysf asked me to talk housing over coffee. I found him to be deeply knowledgeable about policy and focused on the nuts and bolts of governance, with good ideas for making District 8 a better, more affordable place to live.
He'll be a great Supervisor.
To have a society that's safe, free, and pleasant for 99% of people, you need to seriously deal with the raping, thieving, murderous 1%.
Modern 'enlightened' people resist this because it makes them feel bad.
They'd rather let violent psychos roam free than be 'mean'.
California is so wealthy, it exports rich people who settle in cities in other states, who end up driving up real estate values so much that the locals in other states complain about them.
Most nations export poor people. California exports rich people.
It's a different world
Architecture Firms Remain Under Pressure as August Billings Decline https://t.co/FtP1MVTkfK Yet I’m busier than ever. Branching out and starting my own practice turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
The New York Times still carries itself like it controls the national conversation, while that conversation increasingly happens everywhere else.
Wouldn’t be surprised if I live long enough to watch it fade into irrelevance, a relic of the media world it once dominated.
