Welcome to the Polish league, where:
- The 1st and last teams are separated by just 11 points.
- The league leaders drew their last five games and went from 3rd to 1st.
- 1st place and 13th place have the same number of wins.
- Thirteen teams have scored more goals than the league leaders.
- The 13th-ranked team has the best attack.
- The last-placed team has the 4th-best defensive record.
- The biggest team in Poland is ranked last.
I have just spent some time in Poland and am now enjoying a glass of Champagne in the LOT lounge at Warsaw airport, waiting for my delayed flight. Here are a few reflections from Poland:
1. All those videos about Polish Christmas markets and cities are right: Poland is extremely safe and clean. There is no need for concrete blocks like in Germany, the UK, or military patrols like in France.
2. It’s a myth that Poland doesn’t accept immigrants. Poland has a solid border wall to keep illegal immigrants out, but it welcomes anyone who wants to work, learn the language and contribute to society instead of draining welfare systems.
3. Poles are probably the most entrepreneurial people in Europe. They understand that hard work is necessary for a good life and prosperity for their children, very different from the spoiled, daddy-financed left-wing activists in “Western” Europe.
In summary, be like Poland. It’s really worth it.
„If I were granted life once more,
I would give that life to you, oh Poland.”
Polish supporters are unlike any others.
They are ready to give their lives for their Homeland, and it’s not about sport or the stadium!
It’s something deeper in their hearts…
in the face of an attack, they would be the first to step forward and fight.
