@dsracoon@SpaceBeetle1@AndrewHammel1 How is that drier air supposed to work on thermometer inside rack (non perforated sides and doors) in server room?
Was using portable for server room in summers for a decade. ~10C difference
And yes, we tried even more powerful fans before, they barely made a dent
No IME
We were using one for small server room (old town building, no way to fit proper AC) in summers .. just half opened window and put the hose out .. ~10C differene inside the rack
You can have all scientific explanation you want, but what matters is IRL effect and these units work
I understand the "physics" theory of argument
But it simply doesnt matter, if you use portable AC and stick the house out of opened window, you will have cooler temperature in the room
We were using it at work for one of IDF rooms in summer for years... ~10C difference on full blast
@jonatanpallesen@realMaalouf Not sure about eu as whole
But published Germany stats were around this number
Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Finland ditto
Chances of other countries having numbers so vastly different it would change the avg is slim to none
@JeremyVineOn5@y_alibhai@lara_e_brown They are sitting in air conditioned studio, yapping about how others should not have aircon available..
Hypocritical scum
Are US politicians, celebs and experts we see in MSM and online accurately representing opinions of avg Americans?
Are your polls published in MSM accurate?
... you know damn well they are not
So why are you pretending its accurate in europe?
IME pretty much anybody but the poorest europeans do have AC if they want it
@starman8888@fdecollibus@Noahpinion Try to explain your 80yr old grandpa he should use aircon lol
.. pretty much everybody in EU, except our equivalent of trailpark poor, can afford to buy it and can afford to run it for those 2 weeks per year when you need it (the rest of a year you have <77f inside)
@White_Shadow81@janecoaston@bisondele_ ELY5
In 90% of europe, inside house temperature is under 25C (77fahrenheit) with exception of 1-2 weeks 1-2 times per year
That's quite different from your situation isnt it..?
Well yeah
But in those parts of europe..
.. 2ft brick and mortar or walls or 1ft of modern insulation
.. chilled moist breeze from sea or mountains at night
.. most people, except our equivalent of trailerpark people or those in 1000yrs old oldtowns do have AC
The UK, northern latitudes .. these heatwaves are like 2weeks 2x per year
@EuropeCensored@mashaloo@WandererWayne I do about 20-30k yearly in a car across eu ..
I get stopped like once per 2 yrs
Never got searched
.. doubt its less in US and you cant willynilly carry guns over state borders there either
And if i would want to travel across eu with guns, there is EU gun passport ;-)
@Geckoboy66@MeesWynants Tell us you have low iq without telling us so
.. hey you just did
ELY3 if your source of income is from goverment, the VAT you pay is just giving some of that money back. Not contributing at all.
@eatmychuddies@keens_milt1959@MatthewWielicki Look up how much co2 is coming from one small volcano eruption..
And even if we play major part in the change, none of the green bulshit policies are gonna make a dent
@rickosheaonx@BuckSexton Maybe in great socialist britainistan
On continent you pay 0,25cent for high tarif and like 0,05 for low .. in penB house you are at 1kw/h per unit
.. we don't
I mean, you really think that "journalists" write about what most people think and do?
Also, pretty much everybody, but euro equivalent of US trailer people, can afford AC unit and run it
(costs like half of weekly salary and running it for a day on full blast is cheaper than McD value menu)
We just dont, because its hot enough 2x per year for 2 weeks .. and most of us live in either 2ft brick&mortar or 1ft of modern ins, which means it takes a week of heatwave to heat up inside
