To my students and families thank you for the memories, laughter, and growth. Special thanks to my student athletes, Student Council, class officers, and all my students who became family. Teaching you has been an honor. I’ll miss you all. Be kind, lead well. Coach Q singing out!
When writing about sports scores, standings and standards, here's how AP style treats numbers:
* The Dodgers defeated the Phillies 10-3. (No comma between the team and the score)
* In narrative, spell out nine and under except for yard lines in football and individual and team statistical performances: The ball was on the 5-yard line. Seventh hole. In basketball, 3-point play and 3-point shot.
* In statistical performances, hyphenate as a modifier: He completed 8 of 12 passes. He made 5 of 6 (shots is understood). He was 5-for-12 passing. He had a 3-for-5 day. He was 3-for-5. He went 3-for-5 (batting, shooting, etc., is understood).
Plenty of you have found yourselves in a communications role without the education or training. You were the best writer on your team so you got “volunteered” to run the newsletter. No one else would update the website so you stepped up.
Join us for the AP Stylebook Workshop for a quick overview of the AP style rules you didn't learn in school.

This week, I got to see Ms. Wyatt’s students for an engaging activity that involved storytelling and programming @Ozobot Evos to follow directions in the storyline! We uploaded our videos to @BookCreatorApp! Love the collaboration!
