Each year, CBS News Chicago remembers some of the many people who made the city tick through a variety of talents and achievements. Here are 62 people whose memories Chicago is honoring in 2025. https://t.co/rlXWH3nnxf
We're WBBM Chicago's website and streaming journalists. The website and stream are increasingly crucial to informing people about local Chicago news. Inspired by our union kin covered by the CBS national agreement, we're fighting for a contract that reflects our value. @CBSNews
Hey @CBSNews, let’s make a deal. We’re the local Chicago CBS web and streaming writers fighting for a contract that ensures fair pay and benefits for all WGAE members.

@north0fnorth Speaking of the Far Northwest, how many streets that fall into the K-through-O naming pattern, but run off-grid can you name? One for each letter: Kercheval, Ludlam, Miltimore, Nashotah, Oshkosh. (There are none for the half mile of P’s.)
@north0fnorth I had the night off tonight and I got hooked on this. It was only when I hit the obscure streets of Morgan Park, Bridgeport, and the Far Northwest that I started having to cheat (and that little cluster in Logan Square with St. Helen and St. Mary).
@Chicago_History Jake’s Saloon at 57th and 10th in NYC where I lived at the time, surrounded by fellow Cubs fans and people rooting for the Cubs — fans or not. Jordan Spieth, of all people, was in the bar watching.
I fondly remember many weekend shifts in New York with Elise just down the way from the web desk, always eager to talk or to rock out to the Jacksons. This is devastating news. https://t.co/Qpq1UPFJ6k
Yesterday, CBS 2 Photographer Tamott Wolverton asked some boys from Lyons Township High School to join him in a pushup challenge. https://t.co/H3GNmwc6el
Tamott made it to 51 pushups. Tonight in our newsroom, our @JermontTerry, @JoeDonlonTV and John Odenthal tried to top that.
@jmetr22b Peter and I worked on the same student newspaper at UChicago, but due to the hiring market at the time, we just missed each other at City News. I’ll give him credit — I don’t think I would have been so quick to climb a fence for the story.
Happy Birthday to our @cbschicago web producer, Adam! To the guy that can shout out a neighborhood faster than you can snap your finger, Adam - we appreciate you!!!
@LEEBEY@YouTube Also, I saw one of those CBS eye dish antennas (appears right before Gene Siskel) lying on the floor of the McClurg Court building right before we moved out. I think it was being scrapped; I should’ve rescued it.
@LEEBEY@YouTube Unfortunately, we don’t get to smoke cigars in the present-day newsroom like Bulldog did in those days. But seeing this reminds me of why I’ve always been proud to work for CBS 2.
