All the T/M protection does is allow players to dictate their destination, and kneecap the current team.

You can have enough protection that you don't have to go to the basement dwellers, but otherwise it's too bad so sad.

Like honestly, it's the mid to low end roster players that NEED the trade/movement protection, not the stars. Anyone seriously think that Staios would wake up one morning and say: " I feel like trading Brady".

@KevinMcCurdy @Steele131 Like what happens if Greaves makes the stop? Nurse goes sliding ass to wall out of the play and Norway gets another crack or two. Stay on your feet, and active in the play.

Nurse's passive defense is a huge recurring issue.

If he misses a pass playing a 2on1 properly, sometimes you get beat.

Sliding doesn't accomplish anything other than make it harder on the goalie's eyes, and takes you out of the play.

@KevinMcCurdy @Steele131 This doesn't accomplish anything. These are pros, they can sauce passes over a prone opponent, and it also just gives talent shoots time and space to pick spots.

Should the G make the short side save? Yes. But modern defense is all about getting sticks on sticks.

In the discourse over the movie The Odyssey, there are a few interesting things to notice:

1) A lot of people all of sudden are experts in Homeric Myth, even though they've likely never read The Odyssey or The Iliad.

2) There's a conflation of the modern understanding of Nationalism vs how it would have been understood in Antiquity.

@jimmathesonnhl We're one coach too late for this. The players needed to look in the mirror for the 16 games that got JW fired. They did and it got them to BTB SCFs. They still own some responsibility, but the team got worse under KK. There's enough sample to move on.
