@JoshCF_ Probably partially true. But I’m sure why he’s at Chelsea has more to do with his impact in the role. He wants to be more than a Head Coach, he wants more influence. You can’t look at what he did, even at Madrid and think his managerial ability or style of play would fail here.

Kee, have you forgotten the club ARE the fans? Without the fans, there are no standards or expectations to uphold, no ticket revenue, concessions revenues, viewership revenues, merchandising revenues… without fans to pander to there’s no product.

The board and owners are responsible for the longevity of the club which means making sensible business decisions that CAN pander to the fans and generate global interest for the club.
