Documenting the abuses of the three-headed monster that is the lying bike lobby, the 👹 urbanists who profit from it, & the limp media that supports them both.
Most tweets I send have a pic.
I do it so others can’t say I’m lying.
But, every now and then, a situation is so unbelievable that my own brain requires the evidence:
1) Govt makes 50% of lanes 🚴 only
2) 🚴 whine to use other 50%
3) 🚴 lobby pushes for car ban
Seriously wtf!
Cops forced to respond to repeated “assault, vandalism, and alcohol use” incidents during 🚴♀️ mob takeovers.
How does local news respond? They put a little kid on camera to dismiss it as an overreaction.
The media is despicable. https://t.co/PSF7iMOiKW
Why is everything getting worse?
Because querulous freaks form Frankenstein PACs to push their weird fetishes onto the rest of society.
When will a single politician call out these inorganic orgs for what they truly are?
Dear American Taxpayer,
Do you support random agencies handing out million-dollar subsidies to niche groups who don’t require said handout?
❤️ for no
🔁 for heck no
Each Metro detail is a bigger indictment than the last.
1️⃣ 70% of passengers don’t pay
2️⃣ Drivers must now quote fare
3️⃣ But NOT require payment
4️⃣ Still drivers must be caged to protect from violent passengers
Mass transit is a disaster. 🚫
OMG! You couldn’t make this up!!
Adam just went YIMBY viral for crapping all over cars (yet again). On cue, the media amplified it… accidentally letting the cat out of the bag: he was waiting for a car!
Of course Adam Ruins Everything. Adam is a socialist; that’s what they do!
This is the type of argument made by every zombie who supports congestion pricing.
Willing to bleed individuals’ wallets dry to pad the budget of the thing that bleeds individuals’ wallets dry.
The Billy Madison meme barely scratches the surface of how dumb this logic is. 🧟♂️
@John7News@7NewsDC I think they should charge drivers. Metro is literally right there. But it costs $18.45 to park and use metro for a long round trip. Even with rush hour and gas at $4.50, it's cheaper and faster to drive. Charge them and put the money towards real transit expansion (not busses).
Dallas suburb leaves 🚌 system that used to cost them $272K per average daily rider. Still must pay up to $40mil to unwind from the arrangement.
#MassTransitMath#Brutal
Less surprising:
(1) DC councilman pegs insane property tax hike to $2.5M threshold when his house is valued at $2M
(2) Progressive thinktank wonk and socialist reporter (with a very checkered past) somehow miss that key distinction
Look, respect to Frumin for proposing something that is both probably not passable and will probably cost him votes in his Ward one day just for suggesting it.
Three million people live between Ogden and Provo.
An unlimited annual pass for the trains there has 400 takers.
Not 400,000. Four hundred!
But, sure, let’s keep punishing families for using their cars. 🤬
How many cities have put their eggs in the 🍋🟩 basket?
I’m no investment wizard, but are there a lot of financial professionals clamoring for stock in a company with a billion $ debt that admits it probably won’t survive without an IPO?
Sounds pretty #Ponzi to me!
