Over the weekend, we lost a valued and longtime member of our gameday staff, Julio “Tranquilo” Davila. Julio served as our Club’s referee liaison, who has been involved with the LA Galaxy since our start in 1996. His presence will be missed on the sidelines.

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my dad, who had a deep passion for working with referees and loved his time with LA Galaxy. He will be greatly missed. #AlwaysTranquilo@LAGalaxy@PROreferees@PSRAofficials
we are reaching out to our community with a GoFundMe that has been created to help my mom with funeral expenses during this difficult time. Any support, whether through donations or simply sharing memories of our dad, means the world to us.

In 2021, I came to the United States for the first time and I had big goals. I joined the most historic team in MLS and I wanted to play and score in every match. I had to wait a little longer than I would've liked, but I finally showed everyone what my game is about: scoring goals and doing anything and everything for the team to win.
I'd like to thank the incredible Galaxy fans for making my four years at the club so memorable. A special mention goes out to my teammates, the coaching, equipment, training and medical staff and the front office for being with me every step along the way.
I'm grateful to have played for the LA Galaxy and helped the club win it's sixth MLS Cup. Champions will meet again, one day! I'll be seeing everyone soon, but just in different colors. #LAGalaxy 🫡♟️⚽️
