🚛 Predatory Lease Purchase Programs, Avoid Them Like the Plague!
Thinking about leasing a truck? STOP. READ THIS FIRST.
💀 90% of lease-purchase deals are a trap. They’re designed to keep YOU stuck and THEM profitable.
Here’s how:
❌ Miss a payment? You could lose every dollar you put in and the truck.
❌ You're locked into their freight. They control your income, making it nearly impossible to pay off the truck.
❌ They stretch out payments on purpose. They don’t want you to own the truck, they want you to keep running for them.
🔹 Yes, there are rare success stories. But 9 out of 10 drivers end up worse off than when they started.
💡 Trucking companies offer these for a reason—it’s profitable for THEM, not YOU.
💬 Have you had a bad lease-purchase experience? Drop your story below and help others avoid the trap!

🚛 What is a CSA Score & Why Does It Matter?
Your CSA score (Compliance, Safety, & Accountability) is a 24-month safety record tracked by the FMCSA and it directly impacts your business.
📌 What’s Included in Your CSA Score?
✅ Roadside inspections 🚦
✅ Crash reports 🚨
✅ Investigations & violations 📋
💡 How It Works:
Violations stay on your record for 24 months but lose weight over time.
As you improve safety practices, your score should decrease.
New violations reset the clock they stick with you for two years.
Why does this matter?
A high CSA score = fewer loads, higher insurance rates, & more DOT scrutiny.
🔹 Keep violations low.
🔹 Improve safety policies.
🔹 Treat CSA like your trucking credit score.
💬 What’s your biggest challenge in keeping your CSA score low?

🚛 The $100 Tool That Can Change Your Freight Strategy
One of the most underutilized tools in trucking? Real-time data heatmaps. And for less than $100/month, you have access to a game-changing advantage.
🔍 What are heatmaps? They visually overlay freight data to show: ✅ Where freight is 📈 ✅ Where freight isn’t 📉 ✅ Where carriers are saturated 🚛 ✅ Where there’s less competition 🏆
👀 Why does this matter?
•Heatmaps predict where the best freight is—before rates shift.
•Brokers have tribal knowledge passed down over years. You can build yours in months.
•Learning load board strategy gives you control instead of playing a guessing game.
🎯 How do you get started?
•Use DAT, Truckstop, or other load board data.
•Research, experiment, and track trends over time.
•YouTube it. DM me. Learn the game.
💡 The knowledge is out there. Are you going to use it?
💬 Have you used heatmaps before? Drop a 📍 below!

🚛 Drivers, Thinking About Job Hopping? Read This First.
If you’re a company driver and you’re looking for a new job or just started one and already thinking about leaving , don’t.
Here’s why:
📌 Your job history matters.
Companies spend time & money to recruit, onboard, and train drivers.
If you were hiring, wouldn’t you want to minimize turnover?
I can’t tell you how many drivers apply at Cornerstone with 12+ jobs in 12 months.
That screams 🚨 bonus chaser or someone who always thinks the grass is greener.
💰 Some companies pay drivers differently based on job history.
Two drivers, same route, one gets paid more.
Why?
Because they have a stable work record.
🔹 Stay at least 3-6 months, ideally 6-12.
Your future pay & job opportunities depend on it.
💬 How long do you think a driver should stay before making a switch?

🚛 Carriers vs. Brokers vs. Shippers, Who’s Actually to Blame?
It’s NOT about one side vs. the other.
The real issue?
Lack of communication and understanding.
🔹 Carriers feel undervalued. 🔹 Brokers feel underappreciated. 🔹 Shippers feel overcharged.
Tech and AI won’t fix this, it’s relationship driven.
Instead of blaming, let’s talk solutions.

🚛 TRUCKING SPOT MARKET UPDATE 📉
The market is flat, no major catalysts driving rates up.
Here’s Where We Stand…
📊 Market Movement
✅ Available loads ⬆️ 1%
✅ Trucks ⬆️ 2%
📉 Rates Dropping
Dry Van ⬇️ 5¢
Flatbed ➡️ No change
Reefer ⬇️ 7¢
📢 What’s Missing?
❌ No investment catalyst yet, market hope still isn’t there.
❌ No big rate hikes for for-hire carriers.
👀 Will Week 7 bring a shift? Stay tuned!

🚛 Are Shippers the REAL Problem in Broker Transparency? 🤔
Some people are flipping the script, saying shippers are to blame for brokers taking high margins.
📉 The argument:
⁃Shipper pays $2,000 for a load.
⁃Broker gives carrier $1,200, keeping $800.
⁃If the shipper paid $3,000, brokers & carriers wouldn’t have to fight over scraps.
But here’s the reality….
Shippers have budgets too.
They can’t just throw more money at a lane if their transportation spend doesn’t allow it.
So here’s the question: ❓ Should shippers be forced to pay detention every time? ❓ Should they be required to pay higher rates? ❓ How would you even enforce it?
💬 Is this a fair take, or is blaming shippers ridiculous?

🚛 Why Brokers Push Costs Onto Carriers Instead of Asking Shippers for More Money
Ever wonder why brokers rarely go back to shippers for more money on: ❌ Detention ❌ Breakdown pay ❌ Atonement fees
Instead, they push the cost onto carriers.
Why?
Because most brokers bid on volume.
If they don’t niche down, they rely on aggressive pricing to win contracts.
So when things go south, they have two options:
A) Admit they bid too aggressively and ask the shipper for more 💰
B) Stay silent and push the losses onto the carrier
What do you think? Should brokers eat the loss or start having real conversations with shippers?

🎲 Want to Play a Game? Step Into a Broker’s Shoes 🎲
Imagine you win a 1,000-load contract on an RFP. You agree to move freight for $1,000 per load.
🚛 Spot rates start in your favor.
- You cover loads for $700 → $300 profit per shipment.
📉 Then the market flips.
- Now, carriers want $1,500 per load → You’re losing $500 per shipment.
🔥 Here’s the kicker: Shippers lock brokers into SLA agreements, you MUST: ✔ Accept tenders at a set percentage. ✔ Maintain on-time service levels.
💥 Miss your targets? You lose the volume.
Now, tell me, is the broker winning or losing in the long run? And should shippers be locked in just like brokers? 👇

🚛 Should Brokers Be Forced to Refund Excessive Margins? 🤔
Brokers only really know their margin once a load is delivered, approved, and paid.
But what if they had to refund any excessive profits back to the shipper?
Example:
- Shipper pays $5,000
- Broker gives carrier $1,500
- Broker pockets $3,500
If the shipper finds out, should they get that money back?
Or is this just how the game works?
💡 Would a refund policy force brokers to stay honest? Or would they just manipulate accessorials to hide profit?
🔥 Comment below: Do shippers deserve more transparency, or is this just business as usual?

🔥 What If Brokers Were Capped at 30% Margin? Let’s Talk! 🔥
What if there was a mandatory broker cap at 30%? No more, no less. Would it balance the industry or burn it to the ground? 🤔
Let’s break it down: 💰 A $3,000 load → Broker takes $900 → Carrier gets $2,100.
Now, brokers argue they need 50% margins to survive. But if this cap existed, would they adapt or would they disappear entirely?
Some say this would level the playing field ⚖️
Others say it would crush the freight market as we know it. So here’s the question:
🚛 Would this rule make freight fairer for carriers, or would it drive brokers out of business?
Let me hear it, drop your take below! ⬇️

🚛 Week 5 Trucking Spot Market Update 🚛
📉 Available Loads & Trucks
Relatively flat this week, with loads up/down -3% and trucks shifting by -2%.
📉 Rate Trends
The early year boost is still unraveling and for the fifth consecutive week, rates continue to decline:
🔻 Dry Van: Down 5¢
🔻 Flatbed: Down 2¢ (but still holding strong)
🔻 Reefer: Took the biggest hit, dropping 13¢
🏆 Flatbed Takes the Crown
Now back at the top in rate performance, while load-to-truck ratios are booming across the board.
🔮 Future Outlook?
The data doesn’t yet suggest a strong recovery in rates. I’ll be tracking the trends, and as soon as a shift emerges, I’ll keep you updated.

🛑 🚛💸 STOP letting other people’s laziness drain your pockets!
Dispatchers are the backbone of many operations…
When they do their job right.
I’ve always said this:
A great dispatcher is severely underappreciated in this industry.
Whether it’s at our manufacturing locations or in the for-hire market…
The difference between a proactive dispatcher and a lazy one is the difference between profit and wasted opportunity!
If your dispatcher isn’t scouring the load boards, negotiating hard, and truly fighting for your bottom line, it’s time to rethink who’s in your corner.
Maybe that means hiring someone you trust, or maybe that means cutting dead weight.
I know some absolute rockstar dispatchers, so if you need a real one, DM me.
No more excuses.

🚛 Is your dispatcher costing you money?
Or better yet, how much are they costing you?
Not all dispatchers are built the same.
Some hustle, some coast, and some are leaving thousands on the table while you’re out grinding on the road.
Here’s the problem:
A load gets posted for $900 three days ago.
Yesterday?
It’s $1,300.
By the time it moves?
$1,600.
But if your dispatcher locked you in early just to check a box and move on, guess what?
You just left hundreds of dollars on the table.
Now, why does this happen?
Because some dispatchers are focused on prebooking as fast as possible so they can move on, stack more trucks, or clock out early.
If they get their percentage, why wait for the market to pay you more?
So ask yourself:
🔍 How early is your dispatcher locking in your loads?
📊 How many trucks are they juggling?
💰 Are they maximizing your profits or just ensuring their cut?
If you’re leaving money on the table, it’s time to reevaluate.
Let’s talk, how do you make sure you’re getting the best rates?
