Previously active Twitter but actively avoiding this dumpster fire of a platform now.
Experimenting with keeping my thoughts for pub rants and occasional blogs.
Something about Musks latest stunts has tipped me over the edge. I may lurk in the back during football matches but I think, in the short term at least, I'm done with this platform.
It feels like Nolan. Just grubby & bad for my mental health. So yeah, I'm away, (for a bit anyway)
P.S. Having looked at the feed here for the first time in months, it seems to be just the organisations that are left. Most of the individuals have gone.
It's harder to give up your voice when you feel it might affect your business, but we've decided the benefits are illusionary
For avoidance of doubt we aren't posting here any more.
It's not just about the ownership, it's not a useful resource anymore. Our content doesn't chime with the algorithm but most importantly it's not a space where we feel we can build value or community.

Hi,
Just calling past to say I left here months ago and it was a great decision.
Came back to test my theory that the only people left would be journalists and celebrities still (wrongly) thinking that it's somewhere they can exert influence... and yep that seems to be the situ.
PS what’s held me back before is that there isn’t a good replacement.
I’ve decided I don’t need a replacement. I’m happy to go to more long form inputs. And maybe just write some stuff for me and stop kidding myself that putting stuff on here can make a difference.

There’s something pretty messed up going on when you take a stronger line on a peeler waving a GAA flag than you do literal fascists marauding through the streets.
We're spending the last day of Eastside Festival in Boundary Taproom selling T-shirts alongside a bunch of great street art lads.
Come down, meet a real life street artist, buy some stuff off them, enjoy excellent food and beer and don't let the arseholes get you down
@1972Cooper Well yes, that's my point. I don't think it counts if people leave and all that's left is two women and a man. A few people suggested it is all.
@psycho_milt Yeah it even might be the exception that proves the rule.
Like there has to be a different compelling reason for the M/F breakdown to be like that for a band to form...
