@TheNo1OGGolfer@NUCLRGOLF Shinnecock yes but WF really isn’t, just a hard damn course. Been fortunate to play in a tournament there many times. In fact I think it was harder before Hanse renovated the green sites prior to the ‘20 Open. Long, crazy greens, narrow fairways & thick rough. Proper Open course
@TFel922@briandoziergoat@alansbrown Guess the NCAA has different rules regarding the yardage/green books. I played in the US Mid Am a few years ago, we were allowed books but you couldn’t look at it once your ball was on the green otherwise it was a penalty.
@casualclubguy@TheQuarterZip Played in some VA state tournaments there and I can’t recall the exact story but it has to do with 1. Foxes around the property in general and 2. CIA
There’s some hidden meaning
It was always one of my favs. CC of Va also has a Fox logo. Farmington has a strong logo also
@patrickjkoenig Went out there 11yrs ago with my dad, charged us our $500, then we got on the first tee we were told the greens were top dressed and the 17th green was closed due to winter damage. At best 3rd on the list of courses played on the trip.
1. Cypress
2. Pasatiempo
3. Spyglass/Pebble
@StuMcStu@unclebutta@GratefulKeg@PGA@PGATOUR Don’t even have to be a past champion, anyone who is qualified/playing is permitted to go play practice rounds leading up to it. Rory doesn’t care for the tour stops so he chose to prep in another way vs some who chose to play. Benefit to being a “independent contractor”
@jagjustaguy111 The idea of Wilkins coming a year early and redshirting and using that year to train, get stronger and experience by practicing against college players only to just leave before even playing is pretty 💩!
@j_porter14@LMH_61618@Hoopsatduke Think you def still have to get those type of players if you can, & not saying you can’t feature them. I would like to see Jon run a more team-centric offense that’s not so dependent/revolved on one person. All UConn & Mich starters avg between 10-15pts. Duke starters 6 to 22pts
@devils_content And I’m all for that type of role but again he needs to play as confident and aggressive as Quinn did. Have a feeling next years roster won’t be able to afford having several guys on the floor who don’t look to score. He’s a freshman but I want to see Rippey day one
@Mikeysurf@M_Bulger19 Damn…when you put it that way it’s even more of a failure that a 3 time NPOY who b/c of one game changed the traj. of the Duke program never played for a National Championship. Took Flagg 1 yr to make it as far as Ralph did in 4. Wonder what he would have done in the other 3yrs
@duke_central@ClutchPoints Surely the #1 recruits those other 3 years all made the title game right?
They didn’t? …..Odd
I believe Duke is actually the last school to bring in the top ranked recruit (Okafor) and play for the Natty the following season, sort of like it doesn’t guarantee success
@rheidrick24 Not trying to be harsh and I like the kid, but what is it that Pat does so well for todays NBA that he is mocked as a first rounder? Other than being tall, he’s an avg defender and rebounder, not extremely athletic and hasn’t proven to be a reliable shooter
@Davidnic33@TheGodImizz23 Have a feeling there will be quite a bit of turnover this year, either draft or transfer. Don’t know how Rippey, Boozer and Foster work tbh, would prefer a more legit actual SG than running two PG’s. Would love yr 2 of Dame, and they need productive bodies for the 5 and backup 4
