@mimigk1492 Go for it! It’s a specialist area that is accepting both adult and paed newly qualified nurses which will mean there should be a good preceptorship and learning/supportive experience to learn the speciality be safe. Good luck! 🤞🏻
@mimigk1492 It’s really rubbish for what you’re going through! I tend to answer the question they’ve asked to the best of my ability and then ask them if I need to expand on anything or if I’ve answers the question fully or for them to repeat the question to make sure. Don’t give up tho! X🤞🏻
End of an era today - last day of my final placement and 2300 placement hours completed ✅. Looking forward to a well deserved rest before I get my pin and begin my nursing career in intensive care in September 😁🏥💙🎉
Celebration day at uni for Sept 21 cohort ✅ 🎉. Just 3 more placement shifts left and I am done and will be waiting for my nursing pin to arrive in due course 😇
Student nurse, "The Tories have massively failed the NHS and social care" #BBCQT
"There is a severe lack of jobs.. Thousands are about to qualify and there are no jobs, so I don't know how you're investing in the workforce"
"Social care is also on it's knees.. How have you made anything better? You've just made it worse"
@amymannn92 Oh wow! Yes I love it and really want that to be my NQN job but I doubt it 😭 so going with everything happens for a reason route and perhaps in the future will apply when and if a job comes up there lol
@amymannn92 My last placement now is ICU and I’m doing and learning lots so I hope that’s gonna prepare me more for if I get placed in a ward that’s difficult to retain staff
@amymannn92 For a specific area and job there? My cohort are still waiting for their job allocations within my trust but I reckon we will be placed anywhere and rarely where we’ve asked to go 🤷🏻♂️. Strange times right now isn’t it.
Last part of my final module for my nursing degree completed today with an oral presentation that I think went well🤞🏻
Accepted a NQN role with my local trust and awaiting job allocation hopefully any day now ✅
Just one final 12 week placement to go in ICU starting next week 😇✨
@RCNNRN@lucy_uo Same conversations happening with my cohort yet still many gaps in staffing levels whilst on placement? Didn’t think there would be so few jobs available by the time I would reach registration back in sept 21 😑
Beginning of January:
Leading and Managing Care module submitted ✅
Numeracy exam ✅
Local trust interview ✅
A day off today to go gym and chill before the last theory module begins tomorrow 👍🏻😇
