Breaking: The Chiefs and Rams are working on a blockbuster trade that would send All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to Los Angeles for a package that would include the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, sources told @AdamSchefter.
McDuffie would be expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams.
This isn’t a trade Brett Veach wanted to make but it’s a trade he had to make. Chiefs couldn’t afford Trent McDuffie extension, and they needed draft capital.
It’s a win-win-win. Only losers in this trade are the Seahawks and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
It feels like you could say this every year...
but there's quite a few football teams from the highest level on down that will be retooling and reshaping going into next season.
Change is inevitable, but it can bring a lot of good!
