Since the Celtics drafted Jaylen Brown in 2016 he's won more postseason games than any NBA player (83). He won ECF & NBA Finals MVP. He's never asked for a trade. Those putting Jaylen Brown in trade scenarios after 10 years can't complain about players not having loyalty.
Before anything happens, I want to make something clear: I will be very, very upset if the Celtics trade Jaylen Brown. This is a player I’ve been rooting for and defending for the last 10 years, and potentially seeing him go hurts.
It’s a business, and you have to put the team first, but JB was a guy I wished retired in Boston alongside Jayson Tatum. I trust Brad Stevens with whatever he does, but losing someone as great as Brown hurts, regardless of who you get in return. He’ll always be a Boston Celtic.
Something I'll add as trade rumors swirl- this city LOVES Jaylen Brown. The typical Boston sports fans I talk to when I'm out & about are sick at the concept of JB being traded, regardless of how good the returning player is. It's very much a case of Twitter is not real life.
If the Celtics are truly "all-in" on Giannis and Jaylen is part of the package, they'd better close the deal. It's a business, but Brown's said to have felt disrespected so many times throughout his career, if this doesn't happen, he'll want out sooner than later regardless.
This Celtics/Giannis situation didn’t change at all over the last 36 hours just FYI. Nothing is different. They made a real offer 2 weeks ago (as I repeatedly told you on my pods) and it’s been a staring contest ever since. But I do think it gets resolved today or tomorrow AM.
"[Celtics] have more of a championship window with Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum... I don't quite understand why they would go all in as far as [Giannis] that's coming to a close as far as his peak in the NBA."

I am just gonna go ahead and say I will be extremely sad IF the Celtics trade Jaylen Brown. I still hope he’s going to play out his career in Boston and bring us more championships. He’s a 100% Celtic.
Down 3-2 on the road against the defending champ bucks: 46 13 4
Game 7 against Philadelphia: 51 13 5
Jayson Tatum game 5 against Dallas (finals close out game): 31 11 8
Jayson Tatum game 3 against New York (Achilles tear): 42 8 4
This type of media is genuinely sad
Jeff Bezos: "We don't have a revenue problem in this country. We already have the most progressive tax system in the world.”
“The Top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of all taxes.”
“The bottom 50% pay just 3%. We have a spending problem."
“I share this with my brothers, with my partner in crime Jayson Tatum he was with me the whole way… we share this sh*t together”
Jaylen Brown seconds after winning Finals MVP.
But yeah, the Jays don’t want to stay together and win together.
So Celtics trade the best player in the deal in Jaylen Brown and then also add Derrick White for Jamal Murray? Are they adding 8 first round picks too?
