RIP Adamental Politics

I'm tired of talking about how shitty Canada has become, how corrupt our gov't is, mass immigration, agenda 2030, etc

Focusing on this stuff all the time and seeing a concentrated feed of all the horrible things happening non-stop day-in-day-out is just relentless rage-bait

I was ready to delete this account on the weekend but decided "how about I merge my music and gaming accounts into this one and just make it my all-in-one personal account" i.e. where you will always find me on Twitter - so it's not all negative doom and gloom politics all the time; I'm so done w focusing my energy on that

So you will have to put up w some of my music and gaming content (I run 2 YouTube channels); it was either this or I just walk away

I will still post my thoughts on the state of things from time to time, share philosophical musings, pro-Christian content etc - just whatever I feel like

If you enjoyed my political content over the years thank you, it's been a blast, but it's time to move on

Even before Sony announced it was ending physical media I was already ready to jump ship

Gaming just ain't what it used to be

I have been a die hard Playstation fan since the PS2 in 2001, have purchased every console along the way and built my digital games library from PlayStation

But I will not be buying a PS6 and I have finally had enough of consoles and the modern gaming scene

It's all just become too much - not only are the games not nearly as good, w too much woke propaganda and no heart/soul - but the business model has become too predatory - increased pricing, broken games on release (requiring a day one patch), loot boxes and attempts to draw everyone into a live service, excessive drm resulting in loss of ownership, etc - it is clear that as gaming became mass market and as lucrative as it is that it has been overtaken by corporate business interests it is not the same hobby that it used to be

So I am largely dropping out and going back to offline retro titles that I have physical ownership of

As someone who is approaching 50 I know I am no longer the target audience demographic but I am very much a cash cow who spends a ridiculous amount of money on gaming for my entire family and this cash cow has had enough

This show is timeless and WORLDS better than anything produced nowadays

I don't care what anyone says, this was TOP notch entertainment back in the 80s and I'm sure it still holds up today

I'm gonna watch this whole thing soon - and get me a heavy does of good Christian family values entertainment, we don't get enough of that nowadays

I've always wanted to use my talents to help wake people up - the album I released in 2024 is all Christian material with several politically charged songs - but I can only stand dwelling on this stuff to a point before it starts to become a major liability

yeah it's a real shame esp now as AI data centers take over the tech world causing the cost of storage to skyrocket; everything is being centralized on servers with access rented to us - now they are taking away physical media while also making hard drives more and more prohibitively expensive; you will own nothing and be happy is the future by the looks of it

So Sony yesterday announced that they are ending all production of physical game discs as of Jan 2028 and going full digital

This means the end of being able to sell your games

Video games will only be available for purchase directly from the source, resale market dead, ability to play games offline dead

We are moving into a scary future where we own nothing and rent everything from the oligarchs who are hoarding and amassing centralized power

It’s a sad day for gaming
