#Syria: for the second time this month, a balloon loaded with Captagon landed in Hijri-held areas in #Suwayda.

An interesting detail is disclosed for the first time: a mechanism burns the rope once the balloon reaches a designated location, causing the Captagon to drop at a pre-selected point.

This method is used since last summer to smuggle Captagon into Jordan - attempts increased significantly this year despite multiple seizures by the Interior Ministry.

We have received an urgent appeal addressed to the relevant authorities in the Syrian state to intervene immediately to rescue the child Nadia Ibrahim, from the village of Ziyara in the countryside of Ain Arab (Kobani), who has reportedly been abducted by members of a group known as “Jwanen Shorshkar,” affiliated with the SDF and PKK, for the purpose of forcibly recruiting her into their ranks.

Nadia is a Syrian citizen, 13 years old, and is legally considered a minor. No party has the right to detain or recruit her under any circumstances, even if her consent is claimed, as this constitutes a clear violation of laws and international conventions that protect children’s rights.

Furthermore, the child’s family has reportedly been subjected to physical assault, humiliation, and direct threats of killing and arrest should they continue to demand the return of their daughter.

Accordingly, we call for immediate and serious action by the competent authorities to reveal the child’s fate, ensure her safe return to her family, and hold those responsible for these grave violations accountable.
