Playing Timpani 1 for Mahler 1 this week, which always takes me straight back to playing it with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales in 2003. Some lifelong friendships were formed on that tour!

A wide variety of repertoire at the Concord College Concerto Competition over the last couple of days has called all 4 Adams Symphonic Timpani into use, including works by Beethoven, Golovko, Lalo, Poulenc, Rachmaninov, and Weber.
