MKA Ministries staff in the U.S. & Ethiopia recently gathered in Addis Ababa to provide training on Christian Education and Discipleship to our seminary students. Stacy Dixon, a mental health professional from the US also provided training to students & local counselors in Addis.

How much do we appreciate our staff in Ethiopia? Enough that we plan a special trip every year to recognize them, encourage them, and spend quality time with them.
Last week we loaded wheelchairs that will provide mobility & freedom to disabled residents in Ethiopia. MKA partnered with Central Church in SF, Hope Haven in Rock Valley, and Emmanuel Prosthetic in Soddo, Ethiopia to distribute wheelchairs to the Hosanna community in October.
It's been 1-1/2 years since we gathered to celebrate the work that God is doing through Adams Thermal Foundation and our programs in Ethiopia. So much progress has been made and so many opportunities are in front of us!

Sewing for Missions is a partner of Adams Thermal Foundation that produces hygiene kits for girls at our schools in Ethiopia. On Tuesday, October 4th at 1:00 PM, Sewing for Missions will hold their annual meeting at Inwood Christian Reformed Church in Inwood, IA.
Today is New Year's, but only in Ethiopia. They have continued to use the same calendar that the Roman church amended in 525 AD. The Ethiopian calendar is 13 months, so today is the 1st day of 2015. The yellow Meskel flower is an important part of the Ethiopian new year.
