Not something you see that often in the Kentucky Derby, but the two best horses in the race ran 1-2.

Journalism ran a winning race but was just second best on the day. Sovereignty has been expertly managed for this race by Bill Mott, and all the signs indicated he would love the distance and get the right pace to close into. And that he did!
