I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Senator Ubah was a remarkable leader whose legislative brilliance and humanitarian efforts deeply impacted the nation. His commitment to the Igbo cause and his fearless advocacy in the Senate will be remembered as defining contributions to our society.

His passing is a significant loss to his family, the people of Anambra State, the Senate, and the entire nation. My heartfelt condolences go out to all who grieve this tremendous and unexpected loss. May his soul find eternal peace.

Sen Chimaroke Nnamani was Gov Enugu state 1999 - 2007
He took over from the military regime meaning that he started from the scratch.

Mr Peter Obi was Gov of Anambra State from 2006 - 2014.
He took over from Sen Chris Ngige, a democratically elected Gov and Ngige took over from Gov Mbadinuju, a democratically elected Gov also, meaning that he started from a lay down foundation.

Now let’s check their achievements and projects during their 8yrs reign as a governor and if Peter Obi executed more projects than my Boss Sen Nnamani, I will publicly make a video and apologize to the Obidient family and I will delete this my Twitter account and start all over again. This is a challenge, show us Gov Obi doings.

Today, I inaugurated a seven-man committee chaired by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, to oversee the verification and payment of outstanding pensions and gratuities to Enugu State retirees.

This is in line with our campaign promise to clear pension and gratuity arrears. The committee shall determine and verify outstanding two-month pension arrears to state retirees, determine and verify the outstanding gratuities owed to state retirees, conduct all payments according to months and years of retirement of officers from service, and render monthly and quarterly reports to the SSG in respect of all payments.

In a bid to eradicate poverty, our target is to design policies that would be favourable to our vulnerable ones. We believe that this step will help in cushioning the effect of the subsidy removal by the FG on our people.

Yesterday, the Deputy Governor, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai and I paid a condolence visit to Justice Ugonne Jacinta Nweze - wife of late Justice C. C. Nweze of the Supreme Court - and her family at their residence in Enugu.

May God console them and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
