There are people in the quotes and comments talking about how experience and/or skill is more important than a masters degree.
Well, why does this only affect Asian and African immigrants in the UK and not citizens or immigrants from other developed countries?
The MSc to caregiver pipeline does not have British citizens in it for a reason.
The system is working exactly how it was designed to work.
Before you relocate to any country through any route, try to understand exactly what you’re getting into.
The work permits for these roles are so restrictive that you simply cannot get out of that rat race no matter how hard you try.
There’s huge demand for caregivers and the govt will continue to change policies to keep you in the permanent underclass. If you can work with your MSc, who is going to look after their old people?
When you compare being poor in Nigeria to being poor in the UK, it makes sense to choose UK poverty especially when you don’t take a holistic view of the situation.
The problem with being in the lowest level of any society is not merely poverty itself, but the lack of freedom to even dream.
When your exit strategy after an MSc in the UK is a work permit that puts a hard limit on the type of jobs you can get, restricts you from accessing public funds while applying the maximum taxes and levies on your income, then maybe, just maybe you’re playing a game you cannot win.
There’s little you can do in such a system. Having worked as a senior banker in Nigeria for 10 years and graduating with a related MSc from a UK university does not shield you from considering a career in care work. And this is regardless of your experience and skills. The same experience and skills people allude to in the quotes and comments.
I do not wish to work in a place like this. Definitely, everyone will end up hating me because I will surely be the bad vibe of the office. You can be a good person without having to be this performative. what are all these highly stimulating events about?
Today is D-day.
Our boys are now at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma for the Grand Finale of the International STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy.
I’m optimistic about their victory.
@EnjoymentMamaa Right from their honeymoon vlog, she always seemed like she was walking on eggshells; people would point it out and she’d be so defensive about it. Wishing her the best

Let’s see a photo from when you were pregnant.
This was one of those Sundays when I had just been discharged from the hospital the day before. I was like between 6/7 months pregnant here and doing my best 😂.
