Yes, I do have that scene written. I cut it because it never fit anywhere. Damon and Elena were telling the story to an ~8 year old Stevie.

That's because, to me, Salvation was Elena's story and Redemption is Damon's. I explained it some time ago in a comment (see screenshot #2).

Yes, I've been writing again. Following the poll, I started a new story, but there's also a couple follow-up thingies from the Redemption verse. It's hard to switch between them because they're polar opposites. The new story is all angsty and heartbreaky and the other is... not.

It depends on whether I like the character. If it's one I like (so, basically Damon, Elena, Bonnie), the observations will 99% be my own opinions. All other canon characters: the opinions are completely their own. If they hit the mark occasionally, it's by (planned) accident.

Also, I tend do live more in Damon's head, but solely because he was the better developed character by far. That's why it comes easier to me to write him.

The fact that they put her in a white lace dress in not one, but TWO defining Delena scenes: the scene where she realized she loved Damon and the scene where she chooses him after being freed from the sire bond.

1. Dot came from Dot Marie Jones and Duvernay from Ava DuVernay. Both i picked simply because I liked the sound of them (and they're great artists).

3. Claire was a tribute to one of the coolest, badass women in fiction: Claire Fraser (from the Outlander books/TV show).
