@lovyPrimzy1 I think there is a communication gap between the couple although the woman might have overreacted but we don't know how the husband has been treating her since he recovered his financial strength
@AskEmmy0 I still believe as a man you need to be straight forward and brutal when you are making the decision of sending your wife to school, there must be mutual agreement and understanding and be ready to face any outcome and never limit your own self and career development
I tell people and from what I've seen.
If you have elderly parents , Make sure their House is bungalow compared to stair-cased duplexes.
Also for elderly, Marble floors might look like luxury but don't be tempted to put it in your elderly parent's house.
I've seen too many falls from climbing stairs (which has higher chances of happening as one ages from bone and spine changes), To slipping off on Marble and having a head injury.
I saw one floor that is very elderly friendly and I think more Nigerians should adopt it for their parents compared to slippery marbles and tiles.
There is one popular church in Nigeria ( actually one of the Biggest) the Pastor is always preaching against vaccines, His Members too were on an Anti Vaccine spree campaign.
Apparently, the Church's hospital offers vaccination services.
Even on World Hepatitis Day, the Church was raising awareness that people should get vaccinated against Hepatitis B via their media pages on IG and LinkedIn
The day we called them out, The Church went to delete all their LinkedIn posts supporting vaccination and also on Ig.
They even went to edit and remove the hospital's services which previously said , they offered vaccination vaccination services
They deleted it.
Guess the Church?
@shamseddinGiwa You too her in because she is getting older without considering some red flags she is showing you now, this is just the beginning sha the earlier you make your decision the better for you
Today, I spoke at a United Nation's event, for the first time. I was a panelist at the World Wildlife Day event, organized by the United Nation's Office on Drug and Wildlife.
The theme is "Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods"
I did not only impart, I learnt a lot and made great connections too.
Three teenagers were trying to gain unrestricted access into the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, but were denied access into the premises.
The soldiers noticed something uneasy and unsettling about the behavioral patterns of these teenagers so they conducted a careful security search.
Lo and behold, explosives were concealed inside a food flask.
The explosion and attack today, if successful, would have been gravely dangerous.
Thank a soldier today!
I just read a DM from a married woman.
She narrated a lot to me about what she's going through in her marriage, & needs me to chat with her husband because he's also a follower.
Problem is that I don't think I can chat with him because it bothers on finance and provision.
I know men and our ego.
And it might cause more issues in their marriage.
I don't think I also want to post her DM (even though she's not a subscriber).
There are too much details in her DM that if her husband gets to read it, it would completely shatter him.
Here is what I want to say to young single women.
1) there is a difference between supporting your man and enabling your man. Don't do more than you should do for a man, just because you're desperate to get married. If you enable your man, he would relax and still low-key resent you & depend on you for survival. If you support your man, he would appreciate it, and rely on you only when it's necessary.
2) don't pay rent for your man, & don't bring a man to come live with you because he's stranded or cannot afford to pay his rent.
3) except your family wants to do anything extra to make your wedding elaborate, do not fund your wedding, just because you want to get married. You may wish to do the lighter things, but your husband should bear most of the costs of your wedding.
Here is what I want to say to young single men.
1) no woman enjoys it when she's providing for you, paying the rent and feeding you for the most part. It doesn't matter if you help her in doing the house chores or go to the market for her.
2) your wife would be highly tempted to go cheat on you because of money to cater for herself, and your children. Especially if she's not working or she's not making enough. In the DM that I just read from that married woman, she made some comments that may be pointing to that area. She said their sex life is dead. And that she has a banging body and that she is beautiful. I checked her picture and she's right.
3) do not be a habitual debtor. If you're fond of borrowing money from friends and family, and you don't pay back, you'd lose almost all your lifeline of support. No one would come to your rescue because you have burned too many bridges.
4) you should see your wife and children hungry, and keep telling your wife "what do you want me to do?" It hurts a woman to see that she has a husband, and her children are hungry. You'd push her to do the unthinkable. And she would blame you for it.
5) if your wife's family are constantly being disturbed by your wife for financial support, you'd lose all your respect from them, and if care is not taken, they may ask her to return home, since you cannot cater to their daughter.
I hope I have been able to explain things the best ways and realistic ways possible.
End.
My mother did not even finish secondary school.
But I recall one night, she beat the hell out of me because I could not spell "school"
I was in primary school at the time.
I recall it was my neighbor friend called "Ozioma" that rescued me.
He saw me crying outside and taught me how to spell school.
That was how I was able to eat my dinner that night.
My father was not a university graduate.
But he was making public speeches and corrected us when we made blunders.
My late father gave scholarships to many young men and women who could not afford secondary or university education.
He did his best for us as his children.
But we followed our paths and made our choices.
My late father did not make the best decision in his marriage and his choice of a wife.
And he suffered for it till he died.
But my mother for the period she was with my father, played her role and made sure that she was felt.
My father never remarried for almost 30 years until his demise.
I saw my late father in tears and pains.
He needed a wife, but he was more concerned for our wellbeing and didn't want any woman to come in to maltreat us.
I recall one time, I asked him:
"Daddy, mummy has gone, don't you want to remarry?"
In his words:
"My son, I love you all, but learn from my mistakes. I don't want you to marry your wife, and divorce her. I have suffered too much because I am no longer with your mother. But she's still your mother"
My loving father died of heart attack at 72.
And my mother wasn't at his burial.
And that was my father's wish.
We honored it.
Now you know why I frown against divorce, and why I always praise my lovely wife.
I learned from my father's mistakes and God blessed me with a lovely wife.
End.

There is an injection called LENACAPAVIR.
You only take the injection once every 6months, which is twice a year. It gives you protection against HIV.
This amazing injection is now available in Nigeria for only 58,000 naira.
THIS DOES NOT REPLACE ABSTINENCE OR SAFE PRACTICES. (because even if you don’t get HIV, you can get more deadlier diseases like hepatitis B from unsafe practices).
But either way,
This injection is really good news.
Please share and help someone to see this.
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
1. My son, currently in 400 Level Medicine and Surgery scored 333 in JAMB but his name did not even APPEAR on the Admission List. I was later told by the Institution that, my son could be offered Micro Biology. I told the Registrar of the institution POINT BLANK that, "I have spent HUGELY (Several Millions of Naira) to get my Son to this Point of Entry (PoE) to become a Medical Doctor and not to become a Biology Teacher through her offer of Micro Biology. This Registrar was so MEAN. She simply told me, we are very sorry, Micro Biology is the BEST we can OFFER your son.
2. At this Juncture, I proceeded to JAMB Headquarters, Abuja to meet with Prof. Oloyede who swiftly asked for my son's JAMB details, punched these details into his laptop and everything concerning the university came up on his screen.
3. Prof. Oloyede said and I quote: "Dr. Muyiwa Kayode, please go back home and sleep with your two eyes closed. From what I am seeing on my screen, your son is No.3 on the List of Medicine and Surgery of this institution with a JAMB SCORE of 333 which comes behind two other JAMB scores of 348 & 334 respectively. Unfortunately, none of these chaps, including your Son (i.e JAMB Score 348, 334 and 333) made the Admission List"
4. Prof. Oloyede continued and I quote: "Dr. Muyiwa Kayode, in SANE countries, this Institution should have sent the College Driver with an official vehicle to go and fetch your son from Ekiti to campus having projected himself into the MERIT LIST of this Institution but unfortunately, the endemic corruption in these institutions will just not allow them to follow Due Process"
5. Right in my presence, Prof. Oloyede put a call through to the Vice Chancellor of this Institution, setting his phone on speaker and spoke angrily at the Vice Chancellor, lamenting on the endemic corruption under his nose as it concerns university admission. This Vice Chancellor apologized to Prof. Oloyede saying what has just happened must have been an ERROR of OVERSIGHT on the part of his Management Team & promised Prof. Oloyede that he will personally ensure the Error of Oversight is corrected.
6. Within 24 hrs of that conversation between Prof. Oloyede and the Vice Chancellor, my son checked the university's Admission Portal and discovered his name has been INCLUDED as Number Three on the admission list while the names of the other chaps that scored 348 & 334 also appeared on the admission list as Number One and Number Two respectively.
7. The good news in all of these is that, my son that would have been CRIMINALLY denied admission ab-initio now TOPS his class with a G.P.A of 4.85
This is neither Federal nor State government doing... Every sector of the economy in Nigeria is corrupt.
