Update the Idaho Human Rights Act, by including ; sexual orientation and gender identity. Ensure all Idahoans can live and work to provide for their families.
We get it, we’d rather hang up too. No matter what, community takes care of each other- watch for community connection events and opportunities to support our work!
We’re starting our week with gratitude. There’s many folks to thank, but we’re starting with our trusted & beloved physicians that did all they could to protect our trans youth & their families this session. Use the link to thank them. #gratitude https://t.co/PA3CS4vgwm
ICYMI:
Yesterday, we joined @PPFA@PPGNHAIK and @ACLU in suing to stop Idaho Attorney General Labrador from applying a legal opinion in which he claims that health care providers cannot refer patients out of state for abortion care under Idaho law.

We need folks to know HB71 does NOT take effect until January of 2024! In the meantime our friends at @acluidaho are looking for an appropriate partner to file suit. We’d be happy to connect you accordingly or reach out to them directly for more information! #idleg#idpol#hb71
We affirm & support our trans & non binary community. We honor your humanity & will continue to fight for your lived equality. We hope some day the veil is lifted on the ignorance & hate for so many, claiming to act out of love.
Let’s be clear on this: it’s not “grooming” to advocate for gender-affirming care for trans people.
There also isn’t a “trans debate” — trans people exist. You cannot debate someone’s existence.
It’s on all of us to draw a line in the sand on this hateful rhetoric.
Backers of the law say they are doing this out of love, out of a desire to protect children. But they do not even know the children who they are attacking. The families of trans children will soon face a heartbreaking choice: Break the law, deny their child health care or flee ID
Shame on Governor Little. Shame on all the legislators who voted in support of this bill. Shame for attacking trans youth who just want to live their best, authentic life. Shame for attacking the medical professionals who are simply doing their job.
Our full statement below.
We hoped @GovernorLittle would have courage to defend parental rights in our state & want to keep physicians here. Transgender people can NOT be legislated out of existence. Check on your trans friends, parents of trans teens & your physicians friends.

These are simply our recommendations. This event has been on the Capitol schedule for weeks. Our events always have appropriate reservations, accessibility & safety planning. We cannot speak to any other events planned & only wish to encourage folks to do what feels safest.
Due to a transphobic rally happening in Boise tomorrow (3/31), we’re encouraging beloved community to steer clear of downtown near the Capitol, between 2-6pm. The viability of our trans siblings is essential, however we are erroring on the side of safety. #TDOV
