**APPEAL TO AGITATORS AND PLANNED PROTESTERS ON OCTOBER 1ST**
Dear Fellow Nigerians,
As we approach October 1st, a day marking our independence, we acknowledge the frustration and anger many feel regarding the state of our nation. However, we must remember the lessons of past protests, such as the #EndSARS movement, where lives were lost, properties destroyed, and many families left grieving. The ripple effect of violence has only led to further hardship, economic downturn, and a breakdown in trust.
We urge you to consider alternative methods of expression, such as dialogue, town hall meetings, and strategic engagement with stakeholders. Peaceful advocacy remains the most potent weapon for change. Let us channel our energies into constructive actions that build rather than destroy.
Our nation needs healing, not more chaos. Let’s honor those who have suffered by making October 1st a day of reflection, unity, and peaceful calls for accountability. Together, we can demand justice and progress without endangering lives and properties.
Choose peace, choose dialogue, choose hope.
