you'd get something pretty cool with the widow that way, where she's an example patricidal revenge, mirroring how lace adopts a similar attitude towards the end of the game. it becomes this chain of abuse which we end by the end of the game

you know what i think would have been way cooler than what we got in silksong? if grandmother silk wasn't a radiance type character (a higher being who took over the world) but rather a construct. a personification of the haunting itself

also you could still preserve the parent/child theme the game's got going on some times, you just make gms the child of the weavers as opposed to the other way around

i believe part of the reason hyper light drifter resonates so well with me is that it, like me, recognizes that frogs are abominable creatures without the flame of life and compassion that animates us moral beings
