Bailey is the second oldest child to Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd. Growing up without his father wasn't at all easy on him and caused him to get into some trouble. He experimented with substances as he grew up since it was a way for him

and work in medical field. instead of becoming a doctor Bailey went down the paramedic path. He enjoys his work and loves the feeling of being able to help others while also juggling his sobriety.
