This has been going on for years - there are many "snakes in the grass" and the vulnerable continue to be used and abused and our system is being taken advantage of by unscrupulous actors across the board.

Almost everyone I spent time with while rough sleeping, injecting drugs & overdosing multiple times had experienced suffering from childhood trauma to rape or abuse, it's sad that anyone would think punishing people more would help. Compassion, housing, education & employment helps much more than a prison or police cell, I know this to be true its my personal experience.
